Loubi Under: Christian Louboutin's red lacquer for your 'under nail'

Shoe designer Christian Louboutin unveils his Loubi Under, the lacquer polish developed to paint your 'under nail' as red as the soles of his heels

When Christian Louboutin unveiled what he described as his "beauty adventure" back in July, we knew the best was yet to come.

The shoe designer's Christian Louboutin Beauté Nail Colour lacquers, housed in their show-stopping flacons, arrived on the beauty scene "to evoke shiny lacquer imprisoned in a piece of faceted crystal," he told us. Nail addicts, and fans of the fashion brand, bought into his world of Pop, Nude and Noir nail polishes, after all they were "a natural extension for someone like me, who likes to empower women and to be a part of creating beauty seems like the right next step" explained the Frenchman.

So what next in the beauty tale of the creative cobbler? "Loubi Under," that's what, a red polish with an easy-to-use felt-tip nib, which describes itself as a "sole" polish. Designed to paint your under nail, this is Louboutin exercising his sense of humour, applying his red sole signature stamp but this time to your nails. "Beauty is a boat that is meant to sail alone, but one that sails alongside the shoes," explains Louboutin.

Not sure it will catch on? Well, it's already been spotted on the 'sole' of Adele's fingernails at the 2012 Grammy's, and since Loubi Under stepped into stores on October 15, the polish for your sole has been a sell-out. If you can't afford Louboutin's iconic red soled shoe, then perhaps £33 is a small price to pay to tap into the trend.

Despite a ceasefire agreed upon with Boko Haram by the Nigerian government, the terrorist group is believed to have attacked 2 villages in Borno State on Friday, October 17 and Saturday, October 18.
Suspected members of the sect invaded the village of Abadam on Friday night leaving one person dead and the village of Dzur on Saturday morning leaving at least eight people dead, Reuters reports.
The development was announced by Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh and has been confirmed by the Nigerian Defence Headquarters.

The recent ceasefire agreement reached between terrorist sect, Boko Haram and the Nigerian government has been described as a scam by the President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria, Comrade Shehu Sani.
Sani, while also declaring the agreement a complete fraud, said:
“It is either government sat with fake persons or the government is part of the forgery."
He added that ceasefires had been attempted before in 2012 and 2013 but had failed while also saying that the person who was cited as Boko Haram's spokesperson at the negotiations in Saudi Arabia was a fraud as only the leader of the sect could speak for the group.
He said:
“The person who made the claim of speaking on behalf of the group is a fraud.”
“Number one is that the person addressed himself and the group as Boko Haram while the group does not address itself as Boko Haram."
“... He claimed to speak for the group, while it is only the leader of the group that has always spoken for the group."
“And he even went further by making statements such as ‘our government’, ‘our country’. These are words that the group does not consider using"
Sani, who has been a middleman between Boko Haram and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, said in conclusion that journalist, Ahmed Sakilda, is still a credible source of information in situations like this.
Salkida also has links with the sect and he expressed doubt at the authenticity of the ceasefire when the news was announced by Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh.

Some members of terrorist sect, Boko Haram are said to have abducted 40 women from Wagga village in Adamawa state.
The militants invaded the village on Saturday, October 18 despite a ceasefire agreement reached with the Nigerian government, PM news reports.
The recent abduction was reportedly confirmed by one Enoch Mark, whose daughter and niece are among the missing Chibok girls.
The schoolgirls were kidnapped on April 14 and the negotiations between Boko Haram and the Nigerian government were also expected to result in the release of the girls.
However, the battle between both sides is still ongoing and it is doubtful if a ceasefire is indeed in force.

Female rapper Eva this week honoured Sasha P's impact in the female rap game. On October 15, 2004, Eva posted a picture of Sasha on her Instagram page and praised her for being a legendary pioneer who influenced her to pick up the mic years later.
"#WCW @sashapofficial Thank you for picking up the mic and making the rest of us girls who love rap notice the little flicker of light down this crazy dark tunnel. I remember your first video like it was just yesterday! Silver eyeshadows and errthang! God bless you mama!! One more album please? #inspiration #firstlady #woman #africanwoman" read the caption below the photo.
Sasha P who also doubles as a fashion designer these days responded to Eva's picture. "Awwww bless! Thank you for the kind words and you're doing great repping us women. God bless you and may you achieve success in all your dreams. Mad Love!"
Some months back it was rumoured that Eva supposedly had beef for the Queen of Nigerian rap. Eva released a freestyle video in January, 2014. In the freestyle it was believed by some in the rap community that some thinly veiled barbs were aimed Sasha.

Well it seems all is good between the two female rappers.

Veteran Actress Blasts Artistes Who Go Into Politics For Money

Veteran actress, Clarion Chukwurah, has called out to her colleagues who go into partisan politics, saying they do so because of money.

(thenationonlineng.net)
The rate at which Nigerian artistes from every sector of the entertainment industry, are going into politics, is giving veteran actress, Clarion Chukwurah, cause for concern, as she believes those going into the murky waters of politics are doing so because of money.
Clarion who is known for stirring up controversies as well as saying things the way they truly are, takes a knock on the likes of Desmond Elliot, 9ice, Tony Tetuila, Bob Manuel-Udokwu, Kenny Saint Brown, Funke Adesiyan, and many others who believe they have what it takes to give their people adequate representation, saying they are actually after what they will gain out of partisan politics without having the people in mind.
In an interview with the Punch Newspaper recently, Clarion says she sees the rush to go into politics by her colleagues as sheer hypocrisy since the movie industry is no more paying as much money as it used to do.
Hear Clarion:
The motive of those who are embracing partisan politics is purely monetary. Let us call a spade a spade. If you tell me that you want to go into politics to serve the people, I would want to look at your record first.
I want to see what you have done to better the lives of the people in your immediate community. How many boreholes have you sunk in the community?
How many hours of community service have you given for free over the last four or five years? How well are you known as somebody who yearns for improvement in social development?

Charly Boy

Non-Conformist Blasts Religious Bigots

Charly Boy, the original Area Fada, has come hard on people he calls religious mumus.
  • Published:
Charly Boy has no sympathy with religious 'mumu' Charly Boy has no sympathy with religious 'mumu'

The original Area Fada, Charles Oputa or Charly Boy, as he is popularly called, will not take a rest from blasting people he term as religious bigots, idiots and those who put their trust in the pastors instead of in God. In a terminology he calls Mumugiousity, Charly Boy takes these set of people to the cleaners.
Read the vintage Area Fada here:
For starters, don't pick up the dictionary to lookup ‘Mumugiousity’, I coined it myself but you go soon grab wetin I wan yarn.
As I approach this topic, I want to be careful so readers don't get the whole essence of this write up, twisted. E no dey hard some people. Religion is a touchy subject for a lot of people and in my household it is generally not considered "polite conversation."
For some, an attack on religion is an attack on their god or gods. I only wish to put down certain points or aspects of organized religion I’m not comfortable with, I am not questioning anyone's belief in a personal god.
In Nigeria, religion has helped us to remain sane or else we all for don kolo with the way our environment is stifling us. Religion can give people a sense of community and make people feel welcomed. But life is never that simple sha. Kai! Oh lord.
In Nigeria especially, religion has turned a lot of my people into MUMU's. Instead of learning to discern truth on their own and formulate their own mindset, they're told how to think. These are the people engaged in ‘Mumugiousity’.
For them Religion has turned them into group soul's, sheep, cows and goat with their Shepherd as their pastors, who have erased their trust in their own intellect and gradually convinced them to put their trust in them (pastors) as the only true men of god, convincing them that without them, they would be lost. Hummmm! They fall for this like very poor people would fall for a bag of rice. Odikwarisky…
You have become ‘mumurized’ when you can forgo the little intelligence you have and on top of all that, you become a hypocrite. Religion is filling mumu people with fear; it is one of the main reasons why mumu people are afraid of living.
And when I say ‘living’ I don’t mean just surviving. To survive is one thing, even stones do that, but to live is a completely different thing. To live means to be sensitive, it means to feel, to grow, to discover your potential and achieve to higher states of being each and every moment.
These days nothing happens without it being remote controlled from the village, someone must have sent it, there are more demons waiting to destroy us, chineke God are you there?
Once you are a religious mumu, you will not tolerate religious ideologies that are different from the one you follow. This is why you can see religious mumu people fighting non-religious ones.
To identify with a religious ideology, and call it the only truth and way, leads to tremendously negative consequences – hatred, tribalism and all kinds of violence. Just think of how many wars have been carried out throughout history by some mumu's in the name of God and religion. Abegi!
To live means to learn and life is a continuous lesson. When, however, you grow into ‘mumuship’, conditioned to believe what is right and wrong according to religion, and told that to doubt religion means to go to hell, naturally you become afraid of seeking true knowledge. You stop searching to find the truth, to learn, and hence to grow as a human being. You can't believe how many of us have stopped growing…Millions.
To blindly follow any ideology without asking questions simply means to restrict your perception, suppress yourself, and live in hypocrisy — in other words, to live in suffering and misery.
Many mumu people choose to follow, even though they suffer from this choice, simply because religion frees them from personal responsibility. To live spontaneously one has to take responsibility for oneself, and this is certainly painful.
Life is made of choices, and to make the right choice is not always easy. So ‘mumu’ people prefer not to choose for themselves, but to have others choose for them. They prefer to walk on paths made by others, instead of creating their own path. But unless we stop having some of these wayo people telling these mumu people what to do or what not to do, some of us will never be free. And unless we are free, we will never be happy and peaceful.
Yes, you can have a personal relationship with God starting with giving love to your neighbour, just don't let some masquerades turn you and your life to ‘Mumugiousity’. Fire burn dem.

First was my brother (Jesse Jagz) wanting to leave which I didn’t know about. We discussed it and I understood where he was going with that. But, it just sort of changed the dynamic of the label and what happens with music is that, when you are producing music and relying on people, when that changes, you might need some time to reassess and come back" he revealed.
